Frequently asked questions.
Why is St. Luke's Health Plan changing its Member Portal?
St. Luke’s Health Plan is bringing third-party administration (TPA) and customer service functions in-house to Boise, ID to provide a more integrated, efficient way to manage operations and processes including enrollment, plan benefits, referrals and authorization, utilization management, claims and billing.
This change supports St. Luke’s Health Plan’s goal of reducing barriers to health care as well as a commitment to modernizing our infrastructure and digital experience.
What is not changing?
The mission of exceptional patient/member-centered care will not change. Collaboration and information sharing across the St. Luke’s Health System and St. Luke’s Health Plan regarding decisions and operations will be faster and more streamlined to better serve you.
What is MyChart?
MyChart is a patient portal that provides personalized and secure online access to portions of your medical record. It enables you to securely manage and receive information about your health care such as requesting an appointment, communicating with your care team, completing forms prior to your appointment, requesting a prescription refill, finding test results, paying your medical bills and more.
With this technology change, you will also be able to access your St. Luke’s Health Plan information in MyChart, including your ID card, benefits, claims, status of deductibles or out-of-pocket maximums, and more. If you purchased your own individual or family plan (i.e., you are not covered by your employer), you may also pay your monthly premium securely online.
When will this change occur?
St. Luke’s Health Plan will transition to MyChart on January 1, 2025.
- 2024 plan year members: You can access your plan information in the existing portal now through January 17, 2025; after this date, you will need to use the new portal. Claims can only be submitted via the current portal until December 31, 2024.
- 2025 plan year members: You can access your plan benefits information and ID cards via MyChart starting on January 1, 2025. Don’t have MyChart? Download it from your mobile app store and follow the instructions to verify your identity and set up an account.
If you do not have MyChart yet, please see the related FAQ below to sign up as a new user.
What do I need to do right now?
Create a MyChart account if you do not already have one, either on your desktop or through the free mobile app in your device’s app store. This is where you will access your member information moving forward. To do so, follow the instructions online or in the app to verify your identity and set up a new user account.
If you need help setting up your MyChart account, email [email protected] or call 208-381-9000 for assistance.
If you already have a MyChart account, open the main menu in the top left corner and scroll down to the Insurance tab. Additional menu options will be available starting on January 1.
If you are accessing the current member portal on St. Luke’s Health Plan website, be aware that this portal will only be available until January 17, 2025 with 2024 plan year information, and no 2025 plan year information will be added to this portal.
